Johann offers a very friendly, personal architectural service specialising in designing contemporary buildings that provide a healthy indoor climate and have minimal impact on the environment. To help achieve this objective he:
- incorporates passive solar design
- specifies the use of non-toxic and non-allergenic materials as far as possible
- recommends ways to minimise electro-magnetic radiation
- specifies materials from environmentally sustainable sources
Johann also manages the Auckland operation of the Building Biology and Ecology Institute (BBE). The BBE is an educational institute that disseminates information on sustainable and healthy building and living.
